The band was formed in 2000 by Ricky James and Johnny Valentine, sprung out of their rare passion for 50s music in all sorts of forms. The band has become one of the most popular in its genre and nowadays touring all over Europe.The band consists of: Johnny Valentine vocals and guitar, Doghouse Matt double bass and vocals, Bo Belly drums and vocals and Boogie Pete piano.
The music can be described as a mix with the following ingredients;A ladle rockabilly, a huge shot of rock n roll and a few splashes of old-fashioned country. All ingredients carefully stirred together and served with lots of swing.In 2004 the first album, “The Hubcaps”, was released on its own label. The album received brilliant reviews and was followed up by "Full Throttle" in 2006 released by Old Rock Records."3rd Base" came in the summer of 2010 on Enviken Records. A record that has meant that the band has also been heard extensively on the radio. The song "Cindy" had numerous plays on national Swedish radio.The album "Four on the Floor" was released in August 2015 on Warner Records. This is the first album with only self-composed material. In 2019, "Five by Five”, was released, which includes the new single "She don't live here anymore" - a fan favorite that was finally recorded!In 2023, the release of new album "Turn it up" is planned.
